National Assembly starts debate over Bill against Organized CrimesCaracas, 26 Ene. AVN.- The Permanent Committee on Domestic Affairs of the National Assembly started on Wednesday the debate on the Bill on Organized Crimes aim to reduce crime rates in the country and ensure safety to population.
Cilia Flores, chairwoman of the Committee, stated that once the legal instrument is passed by the plenary, "we will work to enforce it and eradicate crime from the whole national territory."
The president of the National Assembly, Diosdado Cabello, said recently that the Parliament will also work in this legislative period on the reform to the Venezuelan Penal Code; the Bill on Disarmament and Ammunitions Control; the reform to the Law on Corruption; the Bill on Transparency and Access to Public Information; the Bill on Anti-Monopolies; and the Bill on Budget and Debt for 2013.
