The British Magazine The Economist refuses to rectify the statements made and insists in falsely accusing Venezuela of military repression in Bolivia
Putting forward non existent evidence, the editor of the magazine The Economist for Latin America, Michael Reid, asserted that the video recordings of the Bolivian TV of 2007 “clearly show the presence of troops with Venezuelan uniforms alongside Bolivian soldiers”
This irresponsible manipulation of data by Mr. Reid remains, even though the Ambassador of Venezuela in London, Mr. Samuel Moncada, asked him to rectify the false information published on 18th July which states that: “Venezuelan troops helped quelled a rebellion on Santa Cruz airport, in the east of Bolivia, in 2007”.
In this way, it is proved that The Economist has not made a mistake, but becomes a malicious voice of the Bolivian Fascism Propaganda.
Ambassador Moncada demanded, therefore, that The Economist should publish the assumed evidence of its statement.
Moncada stated that: “if this imaginary evidence is produced, it would be a worldwide scoop that has been kept secret for two years in hands of The Economist.”
