
Known as one of the most talented young pianists in international classic music, Venezuelan Ana Karina Alamo performed in the Bolivar Hall of the Venezuelan Embassy in London, as part of a special program commemorating the 198th anniversary of Venezuelan independence.
During her recital the young Venezuelan performed some songs from well known composers such as Beethoven, Lizt and Rachmaninoff. She also performed compositions from Venezuelan artists such as Luis Fragachan, “El Diablo Suelto” by Hercalio Fernandez Noya , Aldemaro Romero’s version of “Alma Llanera” and also a few pieces by Venezuelan composer Teresa Carreño.
From a young age, Ana Karina Alamo showed her potential as an outstanding pianist. At the age of six she staged her first concert in front of fifty people and at the age of nine she debuted as a pianist. Since then she has achieved a spectacular career which has seen her perform in places such as the “Carnegie Hall” in New York, “Beethoven House” in Bonn and the “Ehrbar Hall” in Vienna, as well as various theatres.
Alamo has also performed with numerous orquestras, such as the “Simon Bolivar Youth Orquestra”, “The Fort Worth symphony”, “The symphonic Orquestra of New Amsterdam” “ Camara Orquestra of Venezuela”, “The Russian National Orquestra” and recently with the “Philharmonic Orquestra of the Americas”.
This artist has shown that the music has come from within, which requires many hours of practice in order to achieve the highest level possible. “You have to be dedicated and you have to study continuously so that you can move your fingers quickly and you can improve your techniques. It is essential to express and perform from memory the music which is in the soul”
