IV Festival of Underground Music at Bolivar Hall
The Fourth Underground Music Festival at Bolivar Hall took place with the participation of a number of artists playing in a variety of different genres. Fabio Tedde from Sardinia and Ismael Mumba from Kenya opened the event with a fantastic interpretation of Mediterranean and African rhythms. Their performance was followed by the Welsh pop singer Nigel Ashcroft who covered hits by Paul Simons and cat Stevens. In the second half of the concert, the duo Manu Pontes and Divyarup performed Brazilian Bossa Nova. Chebeto Requena, together with the Colombian harpist Diego La Verde closed the event with a musical compilation that was greeted with a great applause from the audience.
Maria Gonzalez, who was in the audience, expressed her appreciation saying she "didn't realise how much young musical talent there was". Gonzalez added: "I particularly liked the Brazilian performance and of the course the Colombian harpist".
The Underground Music Festival gathers the best musicians that busk on the London Underground and brings them to Bolivar Hall.
