Venezuela carries out excellent performance in IX South American Games Medellin 2010

Caracas, Mar 22 ABN.- Venezuela's Sports Minister Victoria Mata highlighted the excellent performance carried out by the national athletes at the IX South American Games Medellin 2010.

“It is important that the Venezuelan people know that these athletes are giving their best in these games. If they win a medal, or whether they lose it, we have to applaud them anyway because, in the end, they are all winners,” she expressed.

Similarly, the Sports Minister praised the performance of the national women's softball team, since they reached a double victory before Argentina and Peru.

Venezuela is represented at the IX South American Games Medellin 2010, organized by the South American Sports Organization (ODESUR), by 440 athletes. This competition takes place in Medellin, Colombia, between March 19-30.
