Classical Guitar Festival in the Bolívar Hall
The Classical Guitar Festival in the Bolívar Hall was kicked off with the participation of distinguished figures in the music world. This initiative, produced by the Iberian and Latin American Music Society (ILAMS), hand in hand with the Bolívar Hall, started with the performance of outstanding guitar players such as: Daniela Rossi from Argentina, the ensemble Farsa Monea from Spain and the renowned British guitarist Amanda Cook.
Daniela Rossi, who gave her debut in the Bolivar Hall last year, interpreted pieces from Joaquin Rodrigo, John Dowland and Astor Piazzolla. The ensemble Farsa Monea combined their pieces with important Latin-American classics, among which were: “Volver” from Carlos Gardel.
The first concert concluded with Amanda Cook and a strong repertoire including Spanish and Italian composers, and of course, a small section dedicated to Latin America earning applause from the audience.
The Classical Guitar Festival will continue at Bolivar Hall on September 16, 17 and 18 and returns again on September 23, 24 and 25.
