New disabled parking bay at Bolivar Hall

The Traffic Engineering Office of Camden Borough designated yesterday a disabled parking bay in front of Bolivar Hall, cultural venue of the Venezuelan Embassy in London.

This is the result of previous conversations and arrangements held by officials from the Venezuelan Embassy and the engineers from Camden Borough in charge of the designation of parking bays.
The Venezuelan Embassy is currently working on a comprehensive plan to facilitate access for people with disabilities to its buildings.

In addition to the disabled parking bay, the Venezuelan Embassy recently purchased a wheelchair stair climber to provide access into Bolivar Hall for wheelchair users.

“We are in favor of inclusion and equality for everyone, both in Venezuela and in our diplomatic missions abroad. The disabled parking bay and the wheelchair stair climber will contribute to improve the quality of life of everyone in our community” said Samuel Moncada, Venezuelan Ambassador to London.

There are also plans to modernize the Embassy at Cromwell Road and the Consular Section at Grafton Way to make them accessible to people with disabilities.

“The new parking for Blue Badge Holders outside the Bolivar Hall at the request of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Embassy in the UK shows the commitment to making the hall accessible to disabled people. I hope and I am certain that the Bolivar Hall will become fully accessible for disabled and Hearing impaired people as soon as possible and will become an exemplary venue to be followed by other embassies in the UK” said David Haralambidis, who has advised the Venezuelan Embassy on issues related to access and policies for people with disabilities.
Bolivar Hall is located on Grafton Way, London, near Warren Street underground station.
