President Chavez informed Lina Ron's arrest

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez Frias, informed that the citizen Lina Ron is under arrest for her alleged participation on the events occurred on Monday at the facilities of the television station Globovision, in Caracas.

“These kind of events harm the socialist revolution because they are counterrevolutionaries,” he stressed on Tuesday during an event to commemorate the 72 anniversary of the Venezuelan Bolivarian Guard.

On request of the Public Ministry, it was entered an order of confinement for the citizen Lina Linette Ron Pereira for her alleged participation on the events occurred on the facilities of the television channel Globovision, in Caracas.

In accordance with the images broadcast by the mentioned television company, a group of motorcyclists would have appeared at the front of the seat of Globovision and threw tear gas bombs inside the building after they had allegedly subjugated the safety officers with firearms.

The attorneys of the case have been working together with the CICPC scientific and investigative police so as to clear the events and determine the corresponding criminal liability.

As part of the works, there was carried out a technical inspection to the scene of the incident and there were collected the videos taken from the events. Likewise, it was started the process of interviews to the people related to the case.

Moreover, the attorneys requested the medical report of the officer from the Metropolitan Police and the security officer from Globovision, who resulted injured during the events.
